Matching horoscopes for marriage can be relatively easy. The key thing is to understand what element is ruling each person's sign. But it is also important to remember when matching horoscopes that every person has many signs influencing him and each of these signs should be reviewed in order to make a love match. These are the rising sign, sun sign, moon sign and sign in venus.

Find a site online that will allow you to type in the birth date of a person and then see that person's birth chart. Get a copy of both people's birth chart. Look at the sun, moon, rising and sign in venus. Follow the link in the reference section to look up your chart at www.astro.com.

Check for the element of each of these signs for each person. Water signs are Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces, while earth signs are Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn. Air signs are Gemini, Libra and Aquarius, and fire signs are Aries, Leo and Sagittarius.

Write down the person's name and then follow with sun, moon, rising and venus signs and the element for each sign. You may write "sun in virgo (earth)" and then follow in this way for both people.

Look at the compatibility by seeing how well each sign gets along. Most signs get along best with someone of their own sign's element. For example, Pisces and cancer are both water elements, but you must look at all the signs to check how they each relate. The sun governs the personality, the moon governs emotional needs and venus governs how a person relates in relationships.

Check both rising signs. Rising signs show how you relate with the world and what you attract. Compare this with what is in the other person's signs. For example, someone may have Libra rising and be about to marry someone with Libra as their sun, moon, rising or sign in Venus. This shows compatibility and a match.
