Funding is available from foundations across the nation for fire department equipment. Grant funding is funding that does not have to be repaid. There are specific application requirements for each foundation. The best way to start a request is with a letter describing the project. You can also contact the foundation and ask for application guidelines, which can help you navigate your way through the application process.

Fraternal Order of Eagles Foundation

The Fraternal Order of Eagles Foundation provides grant funding to fire departments across the country based upon need. They provide grants of $1,000 for CPR equipment. The Hormel Foundation

The Hormel Foundation provides grant funding to fire departments ranging from $20,000 to over $200,000, as of 2009. Awards have been for various equipment needs of fire departments. Monsanto Fund

OMNOVA Solutions Foundation

The OMNOVA Solutions Foundation awards grant funding to fire departments based upon their need for expansion or equipment.
